An autonomous IoT-based robot created for vehicle parking areas, employing YOLO V8 technology. It includes a mobile app that offers customers various functionalities, such as a Voice Recognition ChatBot powered by the Rasa Platform.
Problem Statement
In today's fast-paced world, people often lack the time to wash their vehicles and perform thorough inspections. Traditional car washing services are time-consuming and inconvenient, creating a need for an automated solution that allows vehicle owners to get their cars washed and inspected effortlessly while parked in a designated area.
Solution
The solution is a moving car washing system—a fully automated robotic unit designed to wash and inspect vehicles without requiring the owner to be present. By simply parking in a car park, the vehicle can be serviced by the system, saving time and providing a convenient, high-quality wash and inspection, all without manual intervention.
Technical Aspect
The car washing system integrates multiple technical components, including a moving robot for washing, a sensor system for vehicle inspection, and an Arduino-based embedded control unit for automation. The robotic unit moves around the parked car, using advanced algorithms to control washing mechanisms and inspection tools, ensuring thorough coverage and effective cleaning.
My Contribution
My contribution focused on the manufacturing process and the Arduino-based embedded system. I was responsible for fabricating the physical components of the washing unit, ensuring precision in the mechanical assembly for optimal operation. Additionally, I developed and implemented the control logic using Arduino, managing motor controls, sensor integration, and automation features to enable the system’s autonomous functionality.
